Zacharias Vamvakousis

Is a scientific researcher and accordionist. At present he is post-Doctoral Researcher at the University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain. His areas of research are in the fields of assistive technologies in music, brain-computer music interfaces and computer vision.

He received a Ph.D. degree in Music Technology from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona (Spain) in 2016, a M.Sc. in Sound and Music Computing at the University Pompeu Fabra (2011), a bachelor degree in Informatics and Telecommunications at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2008) and a degree in Classical Accordion and Classical Harmony from the Municipal Conservatory of Ilion, Athens, Greece (2002).

He is the developer of the eyeharp, a software that allows people with motor disabilities play music through eye or head movements.
